The Hermitage presents a new program for lovers of paintings and music; Meetings with museum masterpieces in the halls of the Hermitage. You will sit in comfortable seats in front of a famous painting, and listen to an expert talking about the history of the art and music of the period when the work was painted, imbued with the same moods, thoughts and feelings which are also characteristic of a picturesque masterpiece. Art historians and soloists of the State Hermitage Orchestra will take part in the meetings.
The first evening is dedicated to Giovanni Battista Tiepolo. Art historian Alla Kamchatova will talk about the artist's masterpieces. The Ensemble of Soloists of the State Hermitage Orchestra will play Italian (Venetian) 18th century music.

on the day of the event
