The Hermitage Cafe

The Hermitage Cafe is situated in the Rastrelli Gallery on the ground floor of the Winter Palace. Visitors can take a rest here and get a bite to eat.

We invite you to the Hermitage Cafe situated in the Rastrelli Gallery. The windows of the bright spacious room provide a beautiful view of the Large Courtyard of the Winter Palace. Around the tables in this cosy setting you can relax after visiting the museum. The menu includes pizza, open sandwiches and cakes, as well as tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cold drinks, juices and ice-cream.

Internet Cafe

The Internet Cafe located at The State Hermitage Museum is a joint project between the Museum and the company Cafemax. The project is also supported by other companies, including IBM and Coca-Cola.

The Internet Cafe is located at the Rastrelli Gallery on the first floor of the Winter Palace.

The Internet Cafe at the Hermitage - is the first service center of this type, located at the Museum. It's development has become a logical next step of the joint project between IBM and Hermitage that was also built around new high technologies.

The Internet Cafe at the Hermitage has 24 IBM personal computers equipped with high-speed access to the world wide web. The visitors can use electronic mail service and get free access to the web pages of the Hermitage Museum. The easy links to the web sites of other large museums of the world allow the visitors to get additional information in various areas of culture and art history.

One unique "know-how" of this project is enabling the visitors to create and send from the Museum a self-made electronic postcard with a picture of one of the Museum's masterpieces along with one's own photograph made using the web-camera.

The Internet Cafe offering coffee to suit any palate (espresso, cappuccino, americana) hot chocolate, tea and cold drinks. For those who are hungry there are baked items, sandwiches and chocolate. The Internet Cafe also welcomes those who just want to relax over a cup of coffee. There are a large number of separate tables, so such customers do not get in the way of the surfers.

In the Internet Cafe payment is in cash (Russian roubles).
