The Hermitage Rooms in Somerset House, London

The Somerset House is a tremendous cultural centre containing the Courtauld Institute Gallery, the collection of Sir Arthur Gilbert and the Hermitage Rooms. The Hermitage Rooms were formally opened in Somerset House on 25 November 2000. Between 2000 and 2007, the Hermitage Rooms served as a backdrop for a series of rotating exhibitions, organised since 2003 in collaboration with the Courtauld Institute of Art, offering a glimpse of some of the magnificent treasures from the Hermitage and other collections.
The alliance between the Courtauld and the State Hermitage Museum delivers an active programme of lectures and conferences, as well as the highly successful visiting curator scheme.

From 2000 to 2011, The State Hermitage Museum Foundation office was at Somerset House.
