Children's Painting as a Creative Activity
B. K. Kravchunas
Arcada SPb Publishers, 2002
ISBN 5-88852-042-X

The book addresses the problems of teaching a child to paint. The author is Dr. Boris Konstantinovich Kravchunas, Director of the Art Studio, Schoolchildren's Center of the State Hermitage Museum, and member of the Union of Artists. Using his 25 years experience of working with preschool and schoolchildren he shows the psychology of a painting child and his developing capacity to depict the world around him and work with the blank page.

The publication is intended for people who work with children or children's drawings or are just interested in them, such as teachers, instructors, parents, artists or art critics.

Drawings of children from the Art Studio of the Hermitage Schoolchildren's Center and Kindergarten No. 110 of the Central District of St. Petersburg are used in the book.
