Badge of the Society for the Countrywide Aid of Soldiers Who Have Suffered in War and Their Families

This society was founded in 1881 and the badge was approved on 5 May 1913. This particular example belonged to Nicholas II and was displayed in one of the halls of the Winter Palace together with other badges and medals in his collection. The badge bears the mark of Alfred Thielemann's jeweller's workshop and the Fabergé company.
