The exhibition shows Kornilov tea sets and pairs, milk jugs, teapots
and saucers from the collections of the Hermitage and the Peterhof Museum,
along with creations of contemporary artists from the Kornilov Porcelain
Revival Foundation.
Founded in 1835, the Kornilov Brothers Factory became in 1843 Purveyor
of the Imperial Court. In 1886 was started the export of Kornilov porcelain
abroad. The Kornilovs had their shops and warehouses in Paris, while in
the United States and Canada their porcelain was distributed by Tiffany.
The words "Made in Russia" for the first time appeared on the
products of the Kornilov Factory in St. Petersburg.
