European Art from the Hermitage

The University of Michigan's Museum of Art presents an exhibition of European art from the State Hermitage Museum. The exhibition displays over 200 works of art which show the world of the Romanovs Imperial Dynasty - Peter the Great, Catherine the Great, Paul I, Alexander I, Nicholas II - and their passion for collecting from 1703 to 1917.

The display includes paintings by European masters, drawings, sculptures, famed Meissen and Sevres porcelains, Aubusson tapestries from Belgium, jewelry, furniture, cameos and much more.
