10 November, 2001 - 15 January, 2002

The representative exhibition opened on 10 November, 2001, in Imola, a large industrial center of Italy, was organized jointly with the Museum of Ceramics in Faenza. The exhibition's curator is the Director of the Faenza Museum of Ceramics Carmen Ravanelli Guidotti, a major specialist in this field. The State Hermitage loaned five masterpieces of applied art to the exhibition: Dish with Heracles Taming the Cretan Bull (Deruta, 1540s), Vase in the form of a boat (Castelli, second half of the 16th century), Apothecary Can (Faenza, middle of the 16th century), Bowl (Faenza, 1565) and Refrigerator with the Triumph of Galatea (Urbino, 1540s). These eye-catching artifacts given a place of honor in the exhibit were admired by both specialists and visitors.
