18th-Century Venetian Paintings from Venetian Collections
18 November 1997 - 1998

The exhibition was not large, there were only 14 paintings. But it included the works by the artists, who are poorly represented in the Hermitage collection, these were Giambattista Piazzetta, a prominent master who influenced many painters of the time, Pietro and Alessandro Longhi, Francesco Fontebasso, Gianantonio Guardi, Giandomenico Tiepolo, Giulia Lama. The exception to these artists was celebrated Giambattista Tiepolo, whose 10 works are on display in the Hermitage.
