Drawings by French Masters ( 16th - 20th centuries) Pierpont Morgan Library (USA)

This collection from one of the oldest and finest drawings collections in America consisted of 120 drawings from the 16th to 19th centuries. It includes works by Nicolas Poussin, Claude Lorrain, Antoine Watteau, Francois Boucher, Jean-Baptiste Greuze, Jean Honore Fragonard, Hubert Robert, Jacques Louis David, Jean Auguste Ingres, Eugene Delacroix, Edgar Degas, Paul Cezanne, and Paul Gauguin. An exchange exhibition of Western European drawings from the 15th to 20th centuries, from the State Hermitage Museum and the Pushkin Museum, Moscow, was held at the Morgan Library from 15 September 1998 to 10 January 1999.
