Giulio Romano (Giulio Pippi) Early 1520s Oil on canvas (transferred from panel) Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, Moscow This painting was attributed to Raphael and considered at various times either a portrait of Lucrezia Borgia or Fornarina. From 1682 it was in the collection of Princess Rosano in Rome, then in the Florentine Lambruschini collection and, back in Rome, in the collection of Camillo Pamphili. In 1839 the painting was bought for the Hermitage from J. Noe in Munich. In 1930 this work was transferred to the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, Moscow. |
