Paolo Veronese (Paolo Caliari) Circa 1560 Oil on canvas Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, Moscow Together with the Hermitage's Diana and An Allegory of Painting in the Detroit Institute of Arts, Veronese's Minerva belongs to a group of sketches for an unrealised composition. It was acquired for the Hermitage in 1772 from the Parisian collection of Pierre Crozat. In 1930 it was transferred to the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, Moscow. |
