The Youth Educational Center is a new museum environment where experimental education and cultural programs are arranged for students of St Petersburg and other cities of Russian and foreign countries.

The Youth Center holds master-classes, lectures, evenings with cultural figures and meetings. Within the frame of Project The Hermitage 20/21 educational programs are prepared to all temporary exhibitions of modern art. Events within programs Acute Art, Days of World Culture are arranged. Student's club The Hermitage presents results of work in sections and displays works of students.

The Club's courses are intended for expanding and deepening the knowledge of youth about the collection of the State Hermitage and monuments of world culture. The Club offers programs in various themes so that each student could find what he/she is interested in and make his/her own creative project.

The Actual Art program offers art demonstrations by famous Russian and foreign artists, master classes, round tables, discussion and seminars on the problems of contemporary art, as well as lectures on the history and theory of the 20th-21st century art.

To contemporary art exhibitions at the Hermitage the Youth Educational Center arranges round tables with the participation of leading experts and directors of world museums, meetings with artists and curators, cycles of lectures.

Meetings with students are attended by prominent representatives of art intelligentsia of the city, public persons, museum employees. The Youth Educational Center hosts international festivals devoted to the history and traditions of various countries.

Students of art institutions of Russia and foreign countries are offered a specialized course in the Hermitage halls combined with art classes in the workshop of the Youth Educational Center.
