MUTATIS MUTANDIS
CREATE AND RECREATE YOUR SCULPTURE!

1-4 December 2011
Workshop by Alexander Reichstein.
Alexander Reichstein was born in 1957 in Moscow. Since 1990 he has lived and worked in Finland. The artist creates sculpture installations. They are aimed to be understood at different levels. They unite the popular and the elite, different ages and tastes. The installation's playful character combines with the serious philosophical, historical and mythological meanings of his exhibits.
At the Mutatis Mutandis exhibition, like at other Reichstein projects, the public plays an active part, reforming the exhibits into a constantly active performance. The visitors become co-authors and create fabulous figures from the forms offered by the artist.

A number of events accompany the exhibition:
1 December 5:00 p.m. - the project opens
3 December 4:00 p.m. - master class for Saint Petersburg college students and parents and children (by appointment)
