The upper part of the walls in this interior is decorated with painted Chinese silk wall-coverings from the first quarter of the 18th century in oak frames. Below, the walls are finished with panels consisting of purple glazed faience tiles with a "roses on stems" pattern that were made by St Petersburg restorers in the 1990s after authentic Dutch tiles of the 17th and 18th centuries. The corner fireplace has been recreated from analogous works.
The furniture here includes a red lacquer china cabinet painted in a Chinese style (England, 18th century) used to display Oriental porcelain and walnut card and sweetmeat tables inlaid with plant ornament using apple wood and other timbers. The decoration of this room also includes a sculpture of a woman that consists of an ancient porphyry torso (2nd century A.D.) with coloured marble elements added (Italy, 17th century).
