This hall is used to display the additional panels in the Story of Psyche series that needed to be painted as a consequence of Denis's visit to Moscow. When the five main panels had been installed in the concert hall in January 1909, Denis wrote in his diary: "My large decoration proved somewhat isolated in the large, cold hall of grey stone with mouse-colour furniture. Something is required to bind it together. Still the whole look is not devoid of greatness." The work was done after he had already returned to France. All the additional panels were finished by the autumn of 1909.

This display is installed in one of the rooms that belonged to the Department of Foreign Trade within the Ministry of Finance, The interior decoration of the room has not survived.
