This room was intended for one of the museum libraries. Medallions on its walls contain profiles of ancient philosophers: Aristotle, Plato and Cicero. The display entitled "Archaic Greece, Ancient Cyprus" presents masterpieces of the collection: painted vases from ancient Athens, Corinth and the cities of Ionia, and also artefacts from the 27th-5th centuries B.C. (stone and earthenware vessels, bronze castings, terracotta statuettes, carved gems and works of jewellery). Works of art from ancient Cyprus are also on display in this room - vases, terracotta and stone statuettes (late 3rd millennium - 5th century B.C.).
