This room continues the display of works by Pablo Picasso. Both Fermières (1908), the still lifes Green Bowl and Black Bottle (1908) and Bowl of Fruit (1909) date from the early Cubist period. The period of Analytical Cubism is represented by such canvases as Woman with a Mandolin, Brick Factory at Tortosa and Young Woman (all from 1909). Visitors can get an idea of Synthetic Cubism from Musical Instruments, Guitar and Violin and Table in a Cafè (Bottle of Pernod), all three painted in 1912. This room also contains collages (Composition with a Sliced Pear, 1914) and ceramics by Picasso.
