The State Hermitage Museum International Advisory Board Meets

On 28 August, 2003, took place the 9th annual meeting of the Hermitage International Advisory Board.

Members of the Advisory Board discussed the project of restoration and reconstruction of the former Civil Ministries building (Eastern Wing of the General Staff, 6-8 Palace Square), presented by the Greater Hermitage Program. The project is designed to put some of the historical buildings in Palace Square to museum and entertainment uses.

Members of the Advisory Board also traveled to Veliky Novgorod to visit the opening ceremony of the exhibition "St. Alexander Nevsky: The Holy Patron of St. Petersburg" from the Hermitage collection. It is showed in the Novgorod Museum of Fine Arts to mark the 300th anniversary of St. Petersburg.
