Piccolo Teatro Presents Arlecchino Servitore di Due Padroni on the Hermitage Stage

On 30 September, 2003, the Hermitage Theater hosted a press conference devoted to the visit of the Milanese Piccolo Teatro in St. Petersburg and the performances it will show in the Hermitage Theater and Maly Drama Theater.

From 27 September through 31 October, Russia for the first time hosts the 12th International Festival of the Union of European Theaters. Best theaters of Europe which have joined the Union show their best productions.

Goldoni’s famed Italian play produced by Giorgio Strehler will be premiered in the Hermitage Theater on 3 October, 2003. 25 years ago it was showed in Russia’s Northern capital in honor of the twin towns Milan and St. Petersburg. This time, theater lovers will see a new version, which revives all ten versions the play has seen during its long life. Arlecchino is played by Ferruccio Soleri, who has been unrivalled in this role for many years.
