Session of the Hermitage Academic Council On 10 June 2004 the State Hermitage Academic Council met in a session devoted to the Council’s new structure and rotation of Council members. Director of the State Hermitage Boris Piotrovsky delivered introductory remarks to Council members. Participants in the session heard a report by Council Secretary M.M. Dandamaeva on the history of the Academic Council in the Hermitage and also listened to a report by Deputy Director G.V. Vilinbakhov about the role of the Academic Council in the Hermitage, as well as suggestions for modifying the structure of the Council which came out of the work of a special commission that was appointed at the 4 December 2003 session of the Academic Council. Following a discussion, the new proposed structure of the Academic Council was adopted in its entirety. |
