State Hermitage Employees Receive
State Awards of the Russian Federation and Republic of Finland On 9 December 2005, on St George’s Day, employees of the State Hermitage received state awards of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Finland during a ceremony in the St. George Hall (Large Throne Room) of the Winter Palace. By decrees of the president of the russian federation the following awards are conferred:
Boris Ilich Marshak, chief researcher in the Oriental Department of the State Hermitage Vladimir Yurievich Matveev, Deputy Director of the State Hermitage for Exhibitions and Development
Andrei Yurievich Alekseev, director of the Department of Archeology of Eastern Europe and Siberia Nina Zalmanovna Kunina, senior researcher in the Department of History of the Ancient World. Oleg Yakovlevich Neverov, leading researcher of the Department of History of the Ancient World.
Prince Alexander A. Trubetskoy, Chairman of the Association of Guards: "The Memorial Society of the Russian Imperial Guards" (Paris, France)
Mikhail Borisovich Piotrovsky, Director of the State Hermitage
Georgy Vadimovich Vilinbakhov, Deputy Director of the State Hermitage for Research Participating in the ceremony were the Company of the Honor Guard of the St Petersburg Garrison and the Admiralty Orchestra of the Leningrad Naval Base under the direction of Honored Artist of Russia, Second Rank Captain Alexei Karabanov |
