Late 19th century Icon on wood of Our Lady of Vladimir. Waist-length depiction. In a gilded silver frame with bas relief vegetal ornamentation. The corners and the middle of the sides of the frame are decorated with overlays of multicolored cloisonne enamel. The back side of the icon is covered in lilac-colored velvet. On the frame there are two hallmarks: "À.ÊÓÇÌÈ×ÅÂÚ" and in an oval the silver assay mark 84, and the depiction of a woman's head facing to the left. |
