Lord the Almighty

Late 19th century

Icon on wood of Lord the Almighty in a partially gilded, chased silver setting (oklad) covering the surface except for openings for the face and hands. Gilded silver aureole. Decorated with multicolored cloisonne enamel. On the corners of the long sides of the oklad are shaped gilded silver overlaid sections with the same multicolored enamel. Below there is a silver plaque with inscription in dark blue enamel, and a similar inscription on the Evangel. The back side is covered with raspberry colored satin. On the oklad there are 2 hallmarks: "ΡΚ" and in a rectangle the 84 silver assay and the emblem of the city of Moscow.
