On 19 May 2006 the Club of Friends held its final meeting of the 2005-2006 season in the State Hermitage's Restoration and Storage Complex at Staraya Derevnya.

The program included presentation by G.L. Semenov, Director of the Oriental Department, of a unique set of frescoes dating from the 5th - 7th centuries and coming from excavations in Penjikent (Central Asia). Mr Semenov holds a doctorate in historical sciences. Guests were shown a new open storage area for frescoes.

An open invitation to enroll is extended to all those who wish to become members of the Club of Hermitage Friends. Membership allows you to participate in meetings such as this one.
