Session of the State Hermitage's Board of Trustees

On 22 June 2007, the 4th Session of the museum's Board of Trustees was held in the State Hermitage.

The session was used to review the implementation of the Hermitage budget for 2005-2007 and the budgetary plans for the period 2008-2010.

Following the recent adoption of the Federal Law on Creating Dedicated Capital in Non-commercial Organizations, there was discussion of the possibility of establishing an endowment.

One of the questions on the agenda was the prospect for developing Hermitage Exhibition Centres beyond their present bounds (in London, Las Vegas, Amsterdam, Ferrara, Kazan).

The attention of members of the Board of Trustees was also drawn to two new projects at the State Hermitage: the "20/21 Project" of exhibiting modern art in the General Staff Building and the "20-40 Project" for planning the development of the Hermitage over the coming 30 years.
