On 26 April 2007, the State Hermitage issued the following communiqué:

On 16 April 2007, the website www.antiq.info made reference to Russian Antiques and provided information to the effect that on 19 May the Hermitage would open an exhibition of Japanese ceramics entitled Seven Centuries from Father to Son. The State Hermitage announces that no such exhibition is planned in the Hermitage and that it never provided information on this subject to either the website www.antiq.info or to Russian Antiques.
