St. Petersburg Children's Days
Museum Festival On 24 October 2007 in St. Petersburg the 3rd Children's Museum Festival was opened. An important part of the festival is the city wide explorative game 'Lets see what I can find!' This is the third year the State Hermitage Museum has participated in the festival, being one of the twenty museums which has opened interactive children's routes through museum expositions, which have been specially devised with tasks, pictures and commentaries which are meaningful for children. The museums participate in the festival's competition. A Children's Jury from the Petropol Club of the St. Petersburg Palace of Young Creativity, judges the available routes considering interest, clarity, usefulness and the museums' hospitality. The Honorary Chairman of the Children's Jury is traditionally Mikhail Piotrovsky. On 8 November 2007 a meeting was held in his office at which the children and Mikhail Piotrovsky reviewed the competition and decided the winners for the five nominations, according to the different categories of trips available in the game: Make up, make up and fight no more, Place of Assignment, Friend or Foe?, Heroes and Heroines, Discover yourself, being someone else. The results of the competitions will be published on 17 November at the official closing ceremony of the 3rd Children's Museum Festival. |
