International Gala Banquet in the Winter
Palace On 20 June 2008 an international charitable reception was held at the Winter Palace with the participation of the co-chairpersons of the Gala Committee, Governor Valentina Matvienko, Prince Dmitry Romanov, the director of the State Hermitage Museum Mikhail Piotrovsky, and the minister of culture Alexander Avdeev. The State Hermitage Museum would like to thank all who helped convert the eastern wing of the General Staff Building into a museum of modern art, and also project sponsors: Deripaska Charitable Foundation Volnoe Delo, the Blavatnik Family Foundation and Gazprombank. |
