The Ceremony of Awarding the State
Hermitage Employees with the Decorations Fabricated by the Jewellers
of “Smolenskiye Brillianty” Company As tradition demands, during the Hermitage Days the State Hermitage employees are awarded for special contribution to culture with the decorations fabricated by “Smolenskiye Brillianty” jewellers, made in form of the museum’s stylized logo of white gold and adorned with brilliants of Russian gem cutting. This year Lyudmila Lvovna Kagane, Tatyana Kirillovna Kustodieva and Natalia Adolfovna Panchenko became the brilliant awardees. Kagane Lyudmila Lvovna Has worked in the museum since 1962. She is a chief research associate
of the State Hermitage Department of Western European Art, a custodian
of the Spanish Painting Lyudmila Lvovna is a specialist Kustodieva Tatyana Kirillovna Has worked in the museum since 1957. She is a leading research associate
of the State Hermitage Department of Western European Art, a custodian
of the Italian Painting Tatyana Kirillovna gives lectures in Russia and abroad. She is a member
of the Restoration Council, Fund Purchasing Commission and Restoration
Commission on Painting of the State Hermitage. Tatyana Kirillovna is an author
of numerous monographs, including articles on the Italian Renaissance
history. She has administered the Sector of the painting Panchenko Natalia Adolfovna Has worked in the museum since 1958. She is a fine art restorer of the State Hermitage Laboratory of Scientific Restoration of Works of Applied Art. Natalia Adolfovna made progress from a research and technical associate up to a restorer of higher category and the head of the Sector for Restoration of Archaeological Metal. Several thousands of restored exhibits are her credit. She has participated in the State Hermitage archaeological expeditions for many years. Natalia Adolfovna Panchenko is a member of the Restorers’ Certification Commission of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and a member of the Union of Artists of the Russian Federation. She is an author of numerous publications on restoration and conservation of works of applied art made of metals.
