Fourth International Forum of Young Journalists of Eurasia Dialogue of Cultures in the State Hermitage

14-16 October, 2009 the State Hermitage of St Petersburg hosted the fourth International Forum of Young Journalists of Eurasia Dialogue of Cultures.

Around 200 participants representing Russia and the CIS countries took part in the forum, including:
Mikhail Piotrovsky, Director of the State Hermitage, Ashot Jazoyan, Director General of Eurasia Media Centre, Irina Gerasimova, Director General and Art Director of the Russian State Musical Centre Federal State Unitary Enterprise, Vitaly Kostomarov, President of the Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language, Abram Kletskin, Chairman of the National Council on Radio and Television of Latvia, Sofiko Shevardnadze, presenter of the informational program Russia Today, Radik Batyrshin, Chairman of the Interstate Television and Radio Company Mir, Alan Kasaev, director of the CIS and the Baltics Department of RIA Novosti, Antanas Sutkus, Honorary Chairman of the Lithuania’s Union of Photographers, Andrei Milekhin, President of Romir Holding, Elena Drapeko, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee for Culture, Sergei Erofeev, CEO of the International Academy of Television and Radio, Sofie Disdzhardin, producer of the Euronews channel in France, Oru Urmas, Director of the Estonian Channel 2, Vsevolod Bogdanov, Chairman of the Russia’s Union of Journalists.

Among the issued discussed at the Forum of 2009 there were innovations and creativeness in mass media, new technologies and new media, new formats as well as transborder projects.

St Petersburg - Moscow - Chisinau - Kiev International Teleconferences were organized within the frames of the Forum.

The prize For a Valuable Contribution to the "Dialogue of Cultures" on behalf of the International Community of Journalists and the State Hermitage was awarded to Tatyana Paukhova, Director of the Culture Department of the State Television and Radio Company VGTRK and the editor-in-chief of the Culture channel.
