29 April 2010 a meeting of Mikhail Piotrovsky, Director of the State Hermitage, with Vladimir Putin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, was held in Sochi.

In the course of the meeting the preparation for celebrating the 250th anniversary of the State Hermitage was discussed.
