Night of Museums – 2010 in the State Hermitage At Night of Museums – 2010 the State Hermitage opened for the public exposition of the Menshikov palace and the Staraya Derevnya Restoration and storage Center which received visitors up to 11 p.m. Visitors of the Menshikov Palace were able not only to get acquainted with the main exposition but to step out on the Big Balcony and enjoy the view of the Neva. In the Large Hall one could hear the organ music – the recording of the organ of the 18th century, an exhibit item of the Museum. Guests to the Staraya Derevnya Restoration and Storage Center could get an insight to the modern museum storage; they saw exhibit items from the funds of different departments of the State Hermitage: painting, sculpture, having become famous Konushenny Museum and Espalier Theater. A special program full of elements of game was worked out for the children audience. An original part of the visual line in the route of open storage became The Hermitage Lomography – the project presented by the State Hermitage jointly with the Committee of Culture of St Petersburg, the Embassy of Lomography in Russia and Timeless Values Registry "St Petersburg Addresses". Participants of the project – lomographers and photographers of the Creative Photography Section of the Youth educational Center of the State Hermitage – reflected the atmosphere of the museum environment. An obligatory technical requirement was to use the photo camera "LOMO-COMPACT". The result was unique lomo walls, reflected the life of the Hermitage. After official presentation of the project, the works were available for visitors of the Restoration and Storage Center and fans of lomography gathered for a Panel Discussion.
