First Lady of the Russian Federation Svetlana Vladimirovna Medvedeva and Governor of St Petersburg Valentina Ivanovna Matviyenko Attend a Concert in the St George hall of the Winter Palace

27 May, 2010 on the Birthday of the City the Large Throne Room (the St George Hall) of the Winter Palace hosted the formal opening of the XVIII International Music Festival Saint-Petersburg Palaces.

Accompanied by the State Hermitage Orchestra an outstanding Italian singer Luchana D'Intino, a top mezzo-soprano in the world and a famous tenor and conductor Giuseppe Sabbatini appeared before the audience.

First lady of the Russian Federation Svetlana Vladimirovna Medvedeva and Governor of Saint-Petersburg Valentina Ivanovna Matviyenko attended the concert.

The concert program started with the Hymn to the Great City in honor of the festival.
