The International Symposium Award Systems. Russia-Scandinavia

2 September 2010 the official ceremony of transfer of 4 Swedish orders from the Royal order Capitulum of Sweden - order of Seraphims, order of Sword, order of Polar Star and order of Vase - to be stored at the Hermitage was held at the Council Hall of the State Hermitage. In total, the Collection of the Numismatics Department of the State Hermitage received about 30 insignia of all degrees and medals of late 19th - late 20th centuries transferred to the museum under the decision of the Swedish king Carl XVI Gustavus.

The official ceremony opened the International Symposium Award Systems. Russia-Scandinavia that united renowned specialists on faleristics from Russia and Scandinavian countries (Sweden, Finland).

The Symposium will be open until 3 September 2010.
