President of the Republic of Ireland Mary McAleese visits the Hermitage

10 September 2010 within the framework of the official visit to the Russian Federation President of Ireland Mary McAleese and her spouse Dr Martin McAleese visited the State Hermitage.

The delegation also included Ambassador of Ireland in Russia H.E. Philip McDonagh and his spouse Dr Ana Grenfell McDonagh. Director of the State Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky showed the museum to President and the delegation members. Performance of Irish Music and Dance celebrating the cultural links between Ireland and Russia took place at the State Hermitage Theatre.
