An Eagle from the Fence of the Alexander Column Was Returned to the Hermitage

On 6 October a figure of the eagle was found by a permanent visitor of the Hermitage while she was having a stroll in the park on the embankment of Admiral Makarov.

She connected with the museum via e-mail and informed about her find, on 17 October together with her son, attending classes in the Hermitage, as well as his sister, they handed the found sculpture into the museum.

The State Hermitage expresses deep appreciation to the family of such faithful friends of the Hermitage.
