Japanese Autumn in St Petersburg. The ikebana exhibition at the State Hermitage 19 September 2010 on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Subsidiary of the Ikenobo Institute in Russia and the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States within the framework of the 7th festival Japanese Autumn in St Petersburg the joint event of the State Hermitage, Consulate General of Japan in St Petersburg, the Russia-Japan Friendship Society and St Petersburg branch of the Subsidiary of the Ikenobo Institute in Russia and the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (the Khimavari group) took place. The ikebana exhibition of professors of the Ikenobo Institute and the demonstration of the ikebana art by Sen’ei Ikenobo, the 45th Headmaster of the Ikenobo Institute, were held in the Foyer of the Hermitage Theater. The ceremony was attended by Ichiro Kavabata, Consul General of Japan in St Petersburg.
