Charitable action Hermitage is My Hope and Reward
18 April 2010 a traditional charitable action organized by Anima Teacher Initiative Center, School Center and the Hermitage’s Theatrical Educational Department for 300 children, teenagers, young people with health problems and their parents was held at the State Hermitage. This year the celebration was called Hermitage is My Hope and Reward. Children whose creative skills are developed at the Anima Center at classes of various kinds of art have become the Hermitage’s regular visitors. Such art event is an opportunity to see and learn something new as well as enjoy the celebration. Each spring in April children are looking forward to having a new Hermitage experience.
This year the museum’s guides showed a splendid exhibition of Western European silver for six groups of children, and other children learnt about the art of impressionists. Many visitors are familiar with their guides due to previous tours.
The celebration continued at the Hermitage Theater where a concert was performed on the stage by students and teachers of Saint Petersburg Lyceum of Art. The concert’s program is versatile: children play string and brass instruments, give vocal and choreographic performances directed by pedagogues with a great skill and creativity
