Master class for children at the exhibition Wind in the Pines... 5000 years of Korean Art 7 August 2010 a third master class organized by the Korean party, the Hermitage's Department of the East and the School Center was held at the exhibition Wind in the Pines... 5000 years of Korean Art. A group of primary school children and their parents attended an exciting exhibition. Our visitors got familiar with golden adornments of ancient Korean governors, enigmatic statutes of Buddhist saints from ancient temples, ceramics, porcelain, painted screens and other artwork made by craftsmen of this country. Children listened to Korean legends and fairy-tales. The exhibition tour was held by I. Dyubanova, Head of the School Center scientific and methodical department. Then under the guidance of Mr. Bong Khen, one of the exhibition's curator, children made an image of the Korean pagoda, a famous temple of Fulfillment of Hope, and were able to keep it for memory of their visit to the exhibition at the Hermitage. Materials for this master class were kindly furnished by the Korean party. |
