New year celebration for special children at the Hermitage On 23 December 2010 a new year celebration for children with health problems was held at the Hermitage Theater. New year celebrations at the Hermitage Theater have been arranged for our regular visitors, students of schools 370, 34, 36 and 627 for fifteen years already. All the schools’ staff – teachers and students – participate in these bright, fun and smart performances. They prepare for performances long in advance creating performance scenarios, costumes, attributes, and devote much time to rehearsals. Children highly appreciate the opportunity of performing on the stage of the Hermitage Theater and try to perform their roles as well as their other peers. This year the school 370’s scenario was made based on the fairy tale "Twelve Months" and school 34 staged a performance titled "Bed-Time Fairy-Tale". For several years the celebration has been held with the financial support of Baker and McKenzie which funds are used to order buses, purchase gifts for children and schools.
