Agreement between the State Hermitage Museum and the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia signed

An agreement between the State Hermitage Museum and the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was signed in the Hermitage on 19 January 2011.

The aim of this agreement is to promote cooperation in the field of culture between the Russian Federation and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and to mount the archaeological exhibition Roads of Arabia: Archaeological Treasures of Saudi Arabia.

The agreement was signed by Director of the State Hermitage Museum, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Science and acting member of the Academy of Arts of the Russian Federation, professor, Dr. Mikhail Borisovich Piotrovsky and Vice President of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, professor, Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al Ghabban.
