"This is the eighth exhibition projects we have with the State Hermitage Museum. One the one hand, exhibitions of Hermitage collections have become a tradition for Tatarstan. On the other hand, they are always a very important unique cultural events," said Zilya Valeeva opening the exhibition. Mintimer Shaimiev, State Counselor of Tatarstan Republic first of all thanked Mikhail Piotrovsky personally. "The State Hermitage Museum gives us a pleasure to enjoy the heritage considered to be the richest in the world," noted the first President of Tatarstan. All the Hermitage exhibitions are unique and noone can be indifferent to them, he said. In the view of Mikhail Piotrovsky, director of the State Hermitage Museum, the exhibition in Kazan was great. "This is a unique exhibition of weapon that is not only the tool of death and fight. It is also a development technology, the status of man, part of clothing, beautiful art, skill of an artist...," emphasized M. Piotrovsky.
