Dmitry Medvedev signed a Decree on Celebrating the 250th Anniversary of the State Hermitage Museum

Full text of the Decree:

2014 marks the 250th anniversary of the State Hermitage Museum. I hereby order:

1. The proposal of the government of the Russian Federation to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the State Hermitage Museum in 2014 is accepted.

2. The Government of the Russian Federation:

sets up a steering committee to organize and hold the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the State Hermitage Museum;

ensures the development and approval of the action plan to organize and hold the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the State Hermitage Museum.

3. It is recommended that government agencies of constituent territories of the Russian Federation and local authorities participate in the preparation and holding of the celebration of the 250th anniversary of the State Hermitage Museum.

4. The present Decree becomes effective from the day of its signing.
