Mrs Geraldine Lucia Norman was awarded the Order of The British Empire

A famous journalist, writer, Chief Executive of the Hermitage Foundation (UK) Mrs Geraldine Lucia Norman was awarded the Order of The British Empire for services to UK/Russia relations in Fine Art.

Mrs Geraldine Lucia Norman is an author of a book about the Hermitage The Biography of a Great Museum and an old friend of the Hermitage.

She took an active part in implementing the project The Hermitage Rooms at Somerset House, the establishment and activities of the UK Friends of the Hermitage.

Mrs Geraldine Lucia Norman has made substantial contribution in support of the museum development programs, including the contemporary art project The Hermitage 20/21.
