Press conference for the opening of the Festival Dedication to Maestro

On 10 March 2011 a press conference devoted to the 5th International Festival Dedication to Maestro took place at the Hermitage Theater. The press conference was attended by:
- Director of the State Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky;
- Vice President, Manager of St Petersburg Subsidiary of Promsvyazbank, OJSC Tatiana Krylova;
- Art Director of the Festival Maria Musienko;
- Distinguished artist of Russia, premier of the Mariinsky Theater Igor Kolb;
- Laureate of international contest Vladimir Shulyakovsky.

On 12-19 March 2011 the 5th International Festival Dedication to Maestro organized in association with the Producer Center Domus will be held at the State Hermitage.

Six concerts in halls of the museum and the Hermitage Theater are devoted to the 200th anniversary of birth of F. Liszt, the 255th anniversary of birth of W. A. Mozart, the 120th anniversary of birth of S. S. Prokofiev, the 260th anniversary of birth of D. S. Bortnyansky, the 105th anniversary of birth of D. D. Shostakovich. The gala concert of ballet stars of the Mariinsky Theater and the Mikhailovsky Theater is a tribute to the prominent dancer M. Liepa who would be 75 years this year.

Traditionally, the International Festival Dedication to Maestro offers concerts to mark the anniversaries and is multi-genre. The Festival will be attended by Russian and foreign stars of classical music, ballet and jazz: people’s artist of the USSR Saulus Sondetskis, people’s artist of Russia Vasily Gerello, distinguished artists of Russia Igor Kolb, Vladimir Mishchuk, Sergey Slovachevsky, world-famous trumpeter Sergei Nakariakoa (France), jazz ensemble Favo (Germany), the St Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra, the State Hermitage Orchestra and the Russian Ensemble of Ancient Music Musica Antiqua Russia.

Chairman of Art Council and Organizing Committee of the Festival is Director of the State Hermitage Mikhail Piotrovsky. Author of the idea, producer of the festival is Maria Musienko.
General partner of the Festival is Promsvyazbank, OJSC.
