Press conference for the opening of the Festival Dedication to Maestro

Members of the International Hermitage Friends’ Club met in the Museum on 3 March, 2011. The meeting was dedicated to the opening of the major exhibition of the year -The Prado Museum at the Hermitage, which celebrates the Year of Spain in Russia and Russia in Spain. Traditionally, the Friends of the Hermitage were among the first to see this grand exhibition of works from the collection of the famous Madrid museum.

The evening program started with words of greeting by the Hermitage Director Prof. Mikhail Piotrovsky. Following that, the Friends were invited to the guided tours of the exhibition by the curators of the Hermitage Educational Department who introduced the masterpieces of the 15th - 19th centuries by the most famous European masters from the collection of Museo Nacional del Prado.

We encourage everyone who is not yet a member of the Hermitage Friends’ Club to do so by joining before the event, which will provide your participation in all the exclusive events for the members of the Hermitage Friends’ Club only.
