An Announcement from the State Hermitage Museum

Based on its social policies, the Hermitage has been following the principle of offering free admission to all children, schoolchildren, university students and Russian pensioners for many years.

The Hermitage will be celebrating the New Year by giving a new gift to the people of Saint Petersburg and the guests of our city; from December 17th to February 12th 2012, the newly-restored halls of the East Wing of the General Staff Building will host a unique exhibit; the Herculaneum Antiquities, which served as a striking capstone to the Year of Italy in Russia and Year of Russia in Italy.

The exhibit is open during the museum’s regular operating hours. Admission is free.
