Cooperative Charity Action of the State Hermitage and the Center of Teachersí Initiative Anima
17 April, 2011 the State Hermitage held a traditional charity action, organized by the Center of Teachersí Initiative Anima, the School Center, Scientific and Educational Department and Theater and Educational department of the Hermitage for 200 children, teenagers and young people with health problems as well as for their parents.
Usually this festival is held in spring as completion of work with specific children in the Hermitage during the academic year.
This year the festival Palace Fairytales program included excursions
around collections of French painting of the 19th century (Impressionism),
French applied art of the
Staff of the Scientific and Educational Department having large experience in work with specific children, helped them to get acquainted with peculiarities of Impressionistsí painting, get involved into secrets of masters, created masterpieces of decorative and applied arts.
By tradition after the excursion the festival continued in the Hermitage Theater where performances of creative teams of Arts School named after Mikhail Glinka waited for children. Students of Arts School prepared the concert-performance Where Do Magicians Live? The concert program included dramatizations, dances, classical and popular music.
The charity action began with welcoming words to its participants of Vladimir Matveev Deputy Director of the State Hermitage and Irina Dyubanova Head of the Scientific and Methodological Department School Center.
After the concert Alexander Ivanov Director of the Development Center Anima thanked the staff of all departments of the museum, participated in the festival preparation and accomplishment.
