The New Year’s Celebration at the School Center’s Art Studio

On December 24th, 2011, a colorful masquerade-style procession of participants in the Hermitage Art Studio, headed by the Director of the Museum, Mikhail Borisovich Piotrovsky, and the head of the Art Studio, Boris Konstantinovich Kravchunas, made its way from the Jordan Staircase of the Winter Palace to the Hermitage Theatre Lobby.

This area was home to the ceremonial opening of the exhibition entitled We Paint in the Hermitage, where the young participants’ best work from this year was presented.

The holiday was continued with a performance on the stage of the Hermitage Theatre, where the young artists brought myths and fairytales to life, along with the history of museum, its halls and exhibition pieces.
